Lobby and Grounds

This stunning hotel is built in the American Craftsman style with simple lines and elegance. It has a world-class spa, an impressive array of amenities and impeccable Disney guest services. The hotel is just steps away from exceptional dining and entertainment in Downtown Disney and with your park entrance ticket, you can enjoy an exclusive entrance to Disney's California Adventure Park.

The Great Hall (lobby) is in keeping with the grand theme of the hotel with its high ceiling and large groupings of comfortable chairs to lounge in.  As you grab a comfy chair or stroll around in your wheelchair you will begin to feel as though you are in a huge mountain lodge of the past.  You can sit with your little ones by the fireplace to either listen to a story at the hotel’s story time or just enjoy the warmth of the fire. You can stroll down two ramps to a courtyard with a beautiful garden and while you are out there you might even see the monorail as it passes overhead. There is a gift shop that is easy to access as well as restaurants and bars.

From the moment you roll through the front door the staff will be happy to accommodate all your needs. The front desk has two accessible counters and there is another one at the guest services desk. Please be sure when making reservation to let them know whatever special needs you may have.  Ready for a tour?  Just click on the photos below and off we go.

The 3000 Room

The room I reviewed was on the 3rd floor (room 3000).  The room was spectacular and had plenty of space to maneuver your chair. There are two queen size beds in the room and they are the perfect height for transferring from your wheelchair. The room has an accessible closet for you to hang your clothes and put away other things. There is a small ramp that goes out to the balcony so you can enjoy the room, but keep in mind that the area is quite tight so you will probably have to back into the room rather than turn around on the balcony.

The Bathroom

The bathroom was adequately sized to accomodate a wheelchair with ample maneuverability. It has a roll-in shower with grab bars on two walls, a fold-down bench, an adjustable shower head and a cloth bathmat. When you make your reservations, or when you check in, be sure to request that the showerhead be adjusted and the bathmat be moved to where you can access it.  The toilet is ADA compliant with grab bars on the walls. The towels are easy to reach since the towel racks are low and there are also towels on the sink counter.
