Hotel Location and Ground

The hotel is located north of the San Diego International Airport and it is on an old Navy Training Center (NTC) which served the Navy since WW1. Now it a civilian base called Liberty Station hosting many Restaurants, shops, one big park and other community activity. It still has most of the Navy stuff like the training Ship and some of the big guns around its park. As well as the command building. You can roll anywhere in your wheelchair to these things.

The grounds of the hotel is flat and easy to get in and out of the area. It has three buildings; One housing the lobby, gife shop, and lounge. The other two buildings the North and the South Building housing the suites. The hotel has fitness and recreation at your convenience. Like the pool area, Basketball court and a fire place Terrace. All easy access with your wheelchair. Please check the picture Below.

 The Lobby

The lobby is very accessible from the check-in desk to the lodge. To right from the front entrance is the check-in desk. The check-in desk has an accessible counter right in the middle and the cast members will help with anything you need. To the right are the Restroom, computer rooms, and etc. The lounge has a very cosy setting with a fireplace and two flat screen television to park your wheelchair at a table. You can get to the North Building through the back of the lobby and the South Building through either the back door of the lobby or to the right of lobby were it has a sing posted.

Suite 166

The suite I reviewed was in the South Building. The door to the building is not automated hopefully you  can pull it open at ease. The corridors are easy to maneuver about to the suites and the suite numbers are easy to fine so you can't get confuse. Suite 166 is a two bedroom and very accommodating. There is a door bell that makes the lights flickers the interior lights. It is awesome to have when the tv is on or on the phone if someone is at the door.  The also a low peep hole to be able to see who is at the door. The living area which is a living room is between the two bedrooms with a flat screen television. The Kitchen is directly to the left from the front door and it is fully equip with kitchens amenities. The kitchen is big to maneuver around but the only real accessibility that I could see in here is the sink and an outlet next to the stove top. The accessible room is to the left of the living room. This room has a just right height queen size bed and has all the amenities that a hotel should have. The none Accessible is to the right of the living room it does have a low bed but the bathroom is not a roll-in shower other than that is a mirrored room to the other one. Check the awesome pictures below.

The Bathroom of Suit 166

The accessible bathroom in the room on life is pretty big to maneuver around and has a roll-in shower with two fold down bench one is loner than the other for your convenes. It also has two control one by the shower head and one behind the fold down bench. I thought this was pretty cleaver because you can turn the water to warm it up and turn it back off, so you can transfer over to the bench without going all the way in getting all wet with brr cold water. The toilet and sink are accessible standard. There is a phone next to the toilet for your convenes. The Bathroom in the room on the other side of the living room has just a tub with one vertical bar. So don't be fool that this isn't the right room with out the roll-in shower. Please check with both room before settling in. Check out the Gallery below.
