Hotel Room

The room I reviewed was a standard and had more than enough room in which to maneuver a wheelchair. Everything was easy to reach except for some of the light switches, so pack a grabber to ensure that you can access all of the light switches. There are lots of automated goodies in this room. The drapes are operated by remote control and there is an audio/visual door bell that activates a flicker in the interior room lights when the doorbell is rung (this feature can be deactivated if you do not wish to use it).  The thermostat is also accessible and the control is by the desk on the wall. There is a refrigerator, a safe and a coffee maker in the cabinet under the flat screen television. Take a look and see for yourself by clicking on the picture below.  For information about additional amenities please click here.  If you don't see what you need on this list you can make further inquiry when you make your reservations.

The Bathroom

The bath room is pretty big with a roll-in shower. As you can see, there is a grab bar that extends all the way from the toilet across the sink to the far wall with a second bar across the back wall.  The sink has plenty of counter space so that all of your toiletries can be placed in easy reach. The roll-in shower has a fold-down bench with grab bars on three walls and an adjustable shower head. Be sure to to check the shower head position when the bell person first checks you into the room room in case adjustments need to be made. Also be sure to ask for a rubber bath mat when you make your reservations.
